OnePlus will launch its OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone in India on July 22. The smartphone maker will also be launching the OnePlus Nord 2 5G. OnePlus Buds Pro had been a quiet member of the rumour-mill until OnePlus dropped its name. The company announced that the high-end TWS earphones would launch alongside the OnePlus Nord 2 5G. The company revealed that the OnePlus Buds Pro will feature an “adaptive sound cancellation” technology. CNet spoke with OnePlus’ Head of Research and Development, who revealed that they have been working on the OnePlus Buds Pro for the past seven months.
The Active Noise Cancellation technology from OnePlus will utilize three microphones on the earbuds in order to cancel out ambient noise. CNet reported that the OnePlus Buds Pro will monitor external noises and then “intelligently create noise-cancelling counter frequencies.” The OnePlus Buds Pro can adjust the amount of noise cancellation needed, auto-tuning from a minimum of 15 decibels up to a maximum 40db. The OnePlus Buds Pro will offer 28 hours combined battery life when using ANC. The OnePlus Buds Pro can provide up to 38 hours combined battery life without ANC.
The OnePlus Buds Pro, like other OnePlus products will offer Warp Charging support. Users can enjoy up to 10 hours of audio with only 10 minutes of charging. The OnePlus Buds Pro will also support wireless charging, however it will only be available at a speed limit of 2W for Qi wireless chargers. According to the details, the OnePlus Buds Pro will be able to compete with higher-end products such as the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro or Apple’s AirPods.
