Many older tech skills are being rendered obsolete by technology. It is important to be aware of what will soon disappear in order to stay ahead. Nevertheless, technologies will play a great role in our lives and technical students have one of the most difficult home tasks and turning to special services is a nice idea where you can “pay someone to do my assignment”.
These are the 10 most obsolete tech specialties in the future.
- Typographers
Typographers are responsible for correct kerning and leading in their designs. They also proofread for typographical errors. They also ensure that the design is correct when it is assembled with all elements of a page, such as fonts, spacing, and layout.
- Graphic Designers
Graphic designers create logos and other graphics for websites, printed materials like brochures and posters. They create backgrounds and cover photos for Twitter. Computers may eventually do this work in place of human workers, much like Photoshop does now, instead of graphic designers. Computer software is able to do many of the same tasks as graphic designers, but much more efficiently. This will make this job obsolete.
- Developers of User Interaface
The user interface designers work on the way a website or app feels to users. They make sure everything loads correctly, buttons are at the right places and screens flow smoothly from one another. This type of work will soon be done by computers, much like Apple’s iOS. Computers already have user interfaces which improve efficiency for humans and machines, so this job will be obsolete.
- Network administrators
Network administrators connect all devices within a network to exchange data and prevent data loss or transmission. They make sure that the network is secure, reliable, and does not become overloaded. Machines can automate this process. Robots have been used in many settings to collect data, from Mars rovers to model production lines. Many network administrator jobs will soon become obsolete, much like the automated cashiers at Walmart.
- Computer Repairmen
Computer maintenance professionals repair computers that have software bugs or hardware damage. Computers will eventually take over this type work. A computer could fix a problem that is affecting a computer as well as a human. This job will be obsolete, much like the way your mechanic fixes your car if your computer doesn’t have the ability to fix it.
- Programmers
Programmers create code to make applications, games, or other programs that can run on mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets. Because computers can perform complex tasks faster than humans, programming languages like Swift and HTML5 touch typography are being developed by computers. Flash, for example, was once a great way to create animated content for websites. Adobe Flash is no longer used in many technologies. HTML5 animations have taken its place. Many programming jobs will see this happen, just like older languages such as Java and AppleScript.
- Graphic animators
Graphic animators can create animated films using a variety of techniques. Their software counterparts are well-documented–computers have been doing this type of work for decades with rendering programs such as Maya and Adobe After Effects. Graphic animators often earn less than if they were to go into another industry because their skills are becoming obsolete. This is similar to how Kodak’s photographic department was disbanded when digital cameras became more popular. It required fewer people to produce the same results.
- Audio Engineers
Audio engineers are responsible for recording vocal tracks and instrumental music in a studio. They also adjust the sound levels and edit all parts to create a track or album. They also produce live events and concerts. Computers are now taking over this job as it is much easier than for humans. They can pick up tiny details in noise that no one could see, making it more efficient than when vinyl records were created manually (the way before digital audio was popular).
Because machines are more adept at creating the same sound quality as humans, audio engineers will have fewer jobs in the future.
- Software testers and quality assurance specialists
Software testers and quality control specialists go through the code line-by-line to identify bugs and errors. They then give feedback on whether the product is ready for release and report them to developers or programmers. This is a difficult task for programmers, as coding requires that precise instructions be followed in order to run correctly.
This role will be obsolete as machines will soon take over (much like voice recognition technologies like Siri and Google Now that can perform tasks more easily than humans because of the way they are programmed).
- Customer Service Representatives and Tech Support specialists
Support specialists provide assistance to customers using a customer service line at a call center setting.
Because it’s easier than for humans, computers are replacing this job. Robotic telephone systems have been performing this type of work for years. They place your calls for you when you need information from companies such as updating account information or changing order. These jobs will soon be obsolete as technology has improved so much that machines can replace human beings in the role. This is similar to how people don’t go to banks in person anymore because of online and ATM banking.
The field of tech specialities evolves with technology. This means that the older tech specialities eventually become obsolete, and the newer, better ones will replace them. It’s important to know which tech specialties are going extinct if you want your company to stay ahead of the game and not become obsolete.
